The taxpayer looking for an edge over the tax bureau may want to consider the use of private comparables. By using private company data, it is possible to increase the data universe by a factor of more than 100. For example, in China a search for listed companies in the automotive industries turns up 57 companies, while a search for private companies generates 8,952 hits. Enjoying this article?
